This is a copy of the HIPPA regulations for your information. SAI wants you to be knowledgeable of the new privacy regulation although not all of the regulations are applicable to EAP clients. For example, drug, alcohol, and mental health information has always been treated as confidential and SAI will disclose such information only in accordance with federal laws. In general, your authorization is required for such disclosures. Also, as an EAP client, SAI does not bill your insurance provider.
